Bed Sores

Bed sores or  pressure ulcers are injuries to the skin and underlying tissue resulting from prolonged pressure that in return results in reduced blood flow to the area.

It occurs in skin areas covering a bony prominence and affects people in a long term lying or sitting positions as paralysis, long term bed ridding illness or frailty.

An infected sore takes longer to heal, and the infection can spread elsewhere in the body with more serious consequences.

An innovative approach to treatment of these chronic ulcers is the use of Regenerative Therapy which has demonstrated its ability in promoting healing through stimulating new blood vessel formation (angiogenesis) and providing the extracellular matrix.

With multiple local injection and wound dressing we start to see healing within a few weeks.
