Soft Tissue Injury

Tendon and ligament injuries often present a challenge to treating physicians. Poor vascularisation plays a role in poor treatment response and long rehabilitation.

Inflammation of the tendon can occur in any tendon and is given specific names when affecting certain joints that you may have heard of,

  • Swimmer’s shoulder
  • Pitcher’s shoulder
  • Golfer’s elbow
  • Tennis elbow
  • Jumper’s knee

Symptoms are dull aching pain that increases with moving the joint or limb, tenderness to touch, redness and swelling. Conservative treatment is rest and anti-inflammatory medications and in the end it may or may not offer relief.

Lately regenerative medicine has opened new doors and offered new lines of treatment other than the conventional pain killers and anti-inflammatories. At the other end of the spectrum surgery may be needed in cases with complete rupture of tendon.

A blood sample is taken & processed in our clinic all in less than an hour, then injected into the painful area. Regenerative Therapy unlocks one’s own self-healing powers, promoting repair and replacing damaged cells and ultimately controlling your inflammation and pain.
